New Videos

I just made some new videos for getting off to a strong start with projects 1-5

First, here is a link to bookmark:  https://jnevins.com/2Dprojects.html

It is a list of each project with a link to the how to video...

These are updated with the newest Photoshop and hints for stonger, better work.

Important!  Each project requires 6 or more variations.  Set up your Google Drive to have a subfolder for each project.  Put your variations in those subfolders.

Bio

Hi Everyone! My name is Jaci and I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree in Art Therapy & Counseling here at Albertus. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Psychology with a concentration in art therapy last May. Although I love all things creative, technology is not my strong suit- which is also why I'm late to these posts. I'm definitely looking forward to learning more in this class!

Bio

Hello all

My name is Brendan Trenholm I am in my last 2 mods of my undergrad and I am excited to see where my next chapter will take me. My goal is to understand what this class is about because I only had a few electives to choose from. i am hoping to learn a lot about graphic design!

Bio- Week 1

Hello, my name is Kesone (Kay-preference) I am not the best with computers and designing things, but I am looking forward to learning some new fun techniques from this course. I am a mother of 2 decided to enroll back into college a couple years ago after taking a long 17-year break to raise my family. Now that my children are older, I thought what a better time to finally get my degree. I am a senior now, fingers crossed that I graduate in May.

Welcome to AR 122, Two Dimensional Design

Class begins Tuesday, Jan 16th and runs 8 weeks until March 7th.  The main thing to do this week is to get all of the systems up and running.

-Read through the class syllabus linked from the list of links in the upper right of the blog.

-Post a bio and hello to this blog.  Include a statement of what you hope to learn in this class. A selfie would be great if you can manage it too.

-Download and install Photoshop.  The link to do that is on the upper right hand side of the blog. Use you Albertus credentials when asked.

By the end of Week 1, I want you to:

-Join the blog

-Post an intro to you with a picture

-Create your Drive and share it with me using jnevins@albertus.edu

-Do projects 1,2 and 3

-Watch some of the videos on how to use Photoshop, posted in the syllabus.

-Be sure to check the syllabus each week.  It is your roadmap to the work ahead.  I encourage you to redo projects at anytime as there are no strict deadlines on each project. The main thing is to post each week so that I can take attendance.  I do take attendance on Monday morning, giving you the week-end to wrap everything up.

-Let me know if you have any concerns or if you don't know how to do something.  There is a video on how to post to this blog in the list of class links in the upper right hand corner where other important links are located. Email me @ jnevins@albertus.edu

-Getting off the ground this week is very important!  The class goes by quickly.  Any delay in learning to blog, installing your software, etc will set you back quite a bit.  There are thousands of tutorials on YouTube on Photoshop as well as the videos I have made for you, linked from the syllabus.

Looking forward to getting this class launched!
